A walk in nature walks the soul back home - Mary Davis

Indra Daha Switzerland Park Day Hiking is one of the best destinations for a day excursion into the culturally and historically rich Indra Daha/Kaji Kalu Pandey Samadhi. It is a fairly compact touristic destination with the highest elevation of 1,830m. This hiking is also a pleasure trip for those who love nature and the beautiful scenery around

A hike to Indra Daha Switzerland Park begins from Syuchatar where we have a refreshing breakfast in the hotel and begin our exciting real hike. After 3 hours of a hike, we reach Switzerland Park. Switzerland Park is beautifully made up of a steep slope with a fabulous green forest of Rhododendron, pine, and blackberries. The melodious chirping of different birds can be heard while walking through the trails. A half an hour's hike from Switzerland takes us to our final destination: Indra Daha.

Indra Daha is also a popular pilgrimage site. The most popular Hindu temple of Goddess Bindabasini and Manakamana is situated here. The major attribute is Indra Daha a pond itself. It is believed that God Indra took a bath in this pond to get rid of a curse of Gautam Rishi for his disloyalty. The Indra Daha hilltop shares a beautiful view of the snow-capped Mountain range of Annapurna including Fishtail Mountain, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Langtang Himal, and Gauri Shankar Himal. The park constructed around the cemetery of Kalu Pandey, chief commander of Late King Prithivi Narayan Shah, is also the main attraction of this place. Indra Daha also holds recreational value because of its clean and green atmosphere and has been popular for yoga and meditation.
