KATHMANDU: As permitted by Nepal Government, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation for expedition of Mt. Manaslu and Lobuche peak, the Royal Family members of Bahrain has arrived today in Nepal.

The expedition, which was coordinated in Bahrain by Prince Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will be led by Prince Mohamed Hamad Mohamed Al Khalifa. The team consists of 18 members along with the royal family.

The team comprising three British nationals reached Nepal on a special flight from Sheikh Isha Airbase. The team will be staying in Nepal for two months and has planned an expedition to Mt Lobuche and Mt Manaslu as a preparation to climbing the world’s highest peak Mount Everest in 2021. The high-profile military expedition is happening in the autumn season.

The Bahraini nationals in the team include Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulla Ebrahim Mohamed, Mohamed Ali Jasim Ahmed Alboainain, Arafat Hamood Naji Ghurbah, Ebrahim Khalil Ebrahim Zayed Mohamed Aljazzaf, Ahmed Said Ahmed Isa Alkabbi, Arif Feroz Shah Murad Qalunder Ghulam, Mohamed Adul Rahman Yusuf Alkawari, Khaled Ali Hasan Ebrahim Hasan Aldossery, Abdulaziz Rafea Abbar Khalaf Alabed, Khaled Sultan Mohamed Abdulla Alsheerwai, Murad Mohamed Yusuf Abdul Sayed, Ebrahim Ali Salem Jaber, Saud Hamad Mubarak Hamad Eid, and Mohamed Isa Abdulla Yusuf Alqais.

The team will stay in quarantine for 6 days from today.
